It is undervalued by risk owners who aren’t using it properly. Outputs are often presented as dreary pdf reports that are hard to digest and disappear into filing cabinets never to be seen again.
There are lots of ‘silver bullet’ solutions available that offer the earth but don’t provide the checks and balances that contextual testing provides. Penetration testing for some has become commoditised and marginalised.
Penetration testing has a key role to play in the security posture of a business. We know that psychology plays a big role in getting the right things done. Sometimes individuals need to be incentivised to work on difficult or boring things, so that’s exactly what we’ve done. Our solution works because gamified remediation introduces an element of competition and reward that ensures people are recognised for fixing the things that matter. Fast.

Our Cause.
For over 20 years the founders of PLANETPENTEST have been battling to assert the value of good Penetration Testing in the Cybersecurity market. Whilst spend on VC backed and turbo-marketed silver bullet solutions has rocketed, penetration testing has become commoditised, an audit driven activity where the value and expertise of highly skilled teams and individuals are consigned to a dreary pdf report or spreadsheet that makes it way, unread, into the recesses of people inboxes or out trays. So, having successfully sold our Penetration Test company in 2018, we have set out to build a platform that would help other Penetration Test companies thrive in the evermore competitive cyber security market.
PLANETPENTEST is born from our desire to showcase the talents of good penetration testers over vapourware and get the right, contextual data on security flaws and issues in front of the people who can fix those issues in the most instantly digestible format to increase efficiency and save time.
